Early this morning, surrounded by an adoring family and friends, Elva Jean Cook Davis, slipped quietly away from us and into the arms of God. The impact she has had on our family's life, and the lives of her friends, has been made evident by the outpouring of love over the past couple of weeks. We are so grateful for you all and we would like to invite you to leave your comments, memories, and love, here on this blog.
Will miss Her so very much. Prayers for the family

We are sorry to hear about sweet Granny passing this morning. What a beautiful story of her life left behind. She has touched so many along the way including mom and dad Serrano. We love seeing the beautiful photo taken in her final days with the love of her life! Our prayers are with the family left behind, but Praise The Lord Granny is at peace.

Aunt Elva Jean was the most TRULY good-hearted person that I've ever known. She was filled with such a goodness and goodwill towards EVERYONE. Anytime that you were around her, you just KNEW that she was honestly so happy that you were there with her and that she enjoyed seeing you and talking with you. We were blessed to have such a treasure as part of our family. I know that my Daddy really loved his big sister and she held a special place in his heart. I hope that they are enjoying a wonderful reunion in Heaven with each other and all of the others we've lost. My heart is heavy for Uncle Fab and all of her children and grandchildren for their great loss.

Our sympathy along with our prayers we send to the Davis/Cook family especially today as you gather together in "Granny's" honor with your final good bye's. She along with "Papa" have welcomed us with open arms from the very first time we met!! We never felt like strangers around them whether in their home or when they came to Kyle and Monica's home!! We shared some of "Granny's" delicious chocolate and coconut cream pies on one of our visits to their home!!
She will be greatly missed! It has been an honor to have known her!!
Our love, Beto and Debbie (Kyle Serrano's parents)
